Mission
DebateHall was founded on the very idea that "debate" is the operating system of democracy. A vital skill for every citizen and a determining factor in educational success, social discourse should be developed and regularly exercised.
To this mission, DebateHall has been designed for everyone, from educators, students, publishers, citizens and change agents.
We listened carefully to our customers and debated amongst ourselves to create an effective digital and social media learning and collaboration tool to enable everyone to Connect. Collaborate. Cultivate.
Grant Wedner
Acting CEO at DebateHall, Grant is a senior business leader with extensive experience at technology companies in high-growth markets. A veteran of growing consumer and enterprise Internet products, he has held leadership roles at Good Things Health, RxVantage, DailyStrength, Kosmix and WebMD.
Grant graduated from the University of California, San Diego and obtained his MPH, Health Policy from Columbia University and his MBA from USC's Marshall School.

Long Nguyen
Head of Product and CTO at DebateHall, Long leads software design and development. He has decades of experience building enterprise and consumer products.
He is also the Founder at Rayburst and had gotten an introduction into startups as part of a Y Combinator-backed company. He graduated from Harvard and completed a PhD in Physics at The University of Chicago.
When Long isn't designing the next great DebateHall feature, he's debating the merits of various new technologies with other CTOs.

Jean-Paul Le Clercq, Esq
Co-founder and Managing Director of DebateHall, Jean-Paul graduated Magna Cum Laude from Pepperdine University School of Law where he was a Dean's Merit Scholarship recipient for two years. He currently practices law as an associate at Makarem & Associates.
When J.P. isn't working on DebateHall, he's quite literally debating in open court in Los Angeles, California.

Steven Atneosen
Steven is passionate about leveraging information technology to improve education, health and energy use. He has served in multiple leadership roles with start-up to midcap technology companies, including operations, corporate development and general counsel over the past 17 years. He specializes in high change, high growth and in-transition organizations.
He is also Founder of Grand Chasm Ventures, a consulting and investing firm that provides M&A, implementation and change services to health care, social media and other Internet related software technology start-ups. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in finance from Drake University and Juris Doctor from Hamline University School of Law, serving as an editor of its law review.
When Steven isn't focused on growing DebateHall, he's likely debating how technology is transformative in helping people adopt healthy, sustainable habits.

Patrick Murphy, Esq
A former U.S. Congressman and decorated U.S. Army veteran, Patrick has a long history of service to both public and private sector groups, and is currently a partner at Fox Rothschild in Philadelphia, PA and an advisor to DebateHall. The first Iraq war veteran elected to Congress, Patrick represented Pennsylvania's Eighth Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives after his 2006 election. In his military career, Patrick was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army Reserve upon his college graduation and eventually branched into the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps.
In 2000, Patrick went on active duty. He trained as an airborne and air assault paratrooper and later served as a prosecutor, both as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in New York and in North Carolina. Patrick was also an assistant professor of Constitutional Law at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He has also lectured at the U.S. Air Force Academy, the International Institute for Humanitarian Rights in Sanremo, Italy, and at Widener University School of Law. After the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, Patrick volunteered for overseas deployment, serving in Bosnia (2002) and in Baghdad during the Iraq War (2003-2004). While in Baghdad as a captain in the Army's U.S. 82nd Airborne Division, he worked to reconstruct the justice system and was awarded the Bronze Star for Service.
Stefan Bauschard
Stefan is a valued and trusted advisor who works with DebateHall to design dynamic new product features, establish important new customer relationships and ensure the educational effectiveness of every DebateHall product. He founded the Harvard Debate Council Summer Institute and coaches Harvard Debate. Additionally, he is the President and Co-Founder of Planet Debate, a project of Harvard Debate.
The recipient of many awards, including the prestigious Bronx Achievement Award, Stefan graduated from Duquesne University.
When Stefan isn't putting together great partnerships, he's running debate camps and tournaments.
